This is one dandy lion
You may not know that the dandelion opens up at the beginning of the day but also closes during the evening. This flower is all over yards throughout neighborhoods. It is said to be that the dandelion represents the sun, moon, and the stars. Back in the day, people would literally pull up grass so that these flowers could grow there. When I was younger, I would always blow the white dandelions to see how far their seeds would go.

plant 2
As we were playing a family baseball game, my son threw me a pitch and I blasted it. The ball end up goin into a large tree. I recognized the decidous tree as a mesquite. Its twigs have a zig-zag form. Also, the mesquite bean pods can be dried and ground into flour, which can add a nutty taste to bread. The leaves can be used in eye drops too. Flowers on this tree provide nectar for bees to produce mesquite honey.

One of my sons ran out of the house and climbed up a tree. This huge evergreen leaf tree was a "Joshua tree." The tree is able to actively abort ovaries where too many eggs have laid. Yucca moths spread pollen when they lay eggs in the flower, but leave enough seeds to produce more trees. Their seeds create panicles. The trunk is made of thousands of small fibers and lacks annual growth rings.

Reptile 2
During my daily jog up the mountain, a snake crossed my path. I stopped to find out that it was a mountain kingsnake. It was about 2 to 4 inches long, which is like a toddler. The weight depends on what type of species it is. Kingsnakes usually have black heads, vibrant patterns, and shiny scales. They eat venomous snkaes, lizards, rodents, etc. Animals such as hawks, roadrunners, badgers, and raccoons eat the mountain kingsnake. Neonates are the name of its young.
Reptile 1
I was tossing football with my sons when I came across a desert horned lizard. This lizard was around 3 to 5 inches long, which is about as long as a stapler. Also, it is about 5.5 inches wide. The color of these lizards vary depending on the soil surrounding it. They have long horns and a dark tail. Desert horned lizards eat beetles, spiders and some plant material. Their predators are prairie falcons, loggerhead shrikes and longnose leopard lizards. Its young are called juvenile.
Insect 2
My sons and I were outside playing baseball when we seen a big wasp flying around. Its body length was about 2 inches with a metallic blue- black and wings that are black and orange. The wasp has warning colors to let predators know that they are dangerous. Their legs jave hooked claws, so they can catch their prey. The stinger of a female can be around 7mm long. It is the size of a Buffalo Wild Wings piece of chicken. They hunt tarantulas, but are eaten by roadrunners and some other birds. Their young are called larva.
Insect 1
I was laying in my bed when I felt something crawling on me. As I slowly sat up I saw a tarantula. Its body was about 2 to 3 inches, but its legs were about 4 inches. the size of the tarantula's legs were similar to the size of a pencil. Tarantulas are hairy and mainly brown, but come in different colors. Also, the spider has claws on its feet. These spiders eat insects such as beetles, grasshoppers, small lizards, and mice. Many animals do not eat tarantulas, because they are dangerous. Although, wasp called tarantula hawks eat them. Their young are called spiderlings.
