Bird 4
I was pushing my son on the swing when a California quail came and sat upon the swing set. A male has a dark brown cap and a black face with a brown back. they are around 3 to 6 inches in diameter, which is equivalent to a small coffee can. Its crest is made up of 6 feathers. Their diet includes seeds, leaves, and Toyon berries. Also, California quailes' babies are called chicks. Hawks and eagles prey upon the quail.
Bird 3
As my family and I were outside for our weekly picnic, a house finch swooped down and landed by my porch. It was small- bodied with a large beak and a flat head. The tail of it was long compared to its body. Its face was red with a streaky brown back, belly and tail. They eat weeds such as nettle and dandelion. Their babies are called chicks, and they grow to be about the same size as a blue jay. I could not find any animal that eats this bird. I imagine it would be bigger birds such as a hawk.

bird 2
Another bird that I saw while I was out flying my kite was a red- tailed hawk. This bird weighs around 1.5-3.5 pounds, and measures around 18 to 26 inches. Its measure is about the size of Shaq's foot. Beneath the hawk's belly is lighter than it is on its back. The bird also has a red tail, which is brick- red above and pink below. Its bill is hooked shaped like a raptor. Also, their young are referred to as chicks. The hawk's diet includes small mammals, birds and reptiles. Predators of the red- tailed hawk are raccoons, great horned owls, and red fox.

While I was flying a kite, I saw a huge bird soaring over me. It was a turkey vulture. This bird was ugly with a bright red head. Its wingspan is around 6 feet, which is almost identical to my own. There are white feathers under their black wings. These birds feed on rotting carcasses. Their young are referred to as chicks. Although they are huge, it only weighs 1.9-5 pounds. Raccoons, opossum and foxes eat the turkey vulture.

On my walk, I came upon an animal with a coat of sharp spines. This creature was shades of brown, grey and also had white on him. It was about 30in with a tail of about 9in. They wrigh between 12-35 pounds. the porcupine is an herbivore and eats leaves, herbs, twigs and green plants. It's part of the rodent family and is about the same size as a beaver. Their young are just referred to as baby porcupines. Porcupines are prey of fishers, cougars, and bobcats.

As I sat on the porch at night, I came across a badger. They are carnivores and eat fossorial rodents, rats, mice, chipmunks and ground squirrels. Their young are born in burrows dug in dry soil. Predation on badger are golden eagle, coyotes, cougars and bobcats. Badgers are nocturnal animals. Reaching up to 60 to 75cm and exceed 11.5 kg. A badger is about the same size as a skunk. It is covered with a grizzled, silvery coat of course hair or fur, and also has a black and white pattern. These animals include a tail too. Badgers' young are referred to as baby badgers.

Mammal 2
I went outside to bring my kids in when I saw a huge cat, which end up being a bobcat. The bobcat is about 3 feet and weighs around 11 to 30 pounds. Its size is about twice as big as a regular house cat. When i saw it in the light, its fur was spotted. The bobcat has brownish red fur with a black-tipped tail. This species are carnivores and feed upon rabbits, hares, and rodents. A baby bobcat reaches around 10 pounds in it's first year. Although they eat a lot of animals, they are preys of coyotes. Their young are called kittens.
