As I went out to walk with my wife, I came across a weird looking animal. Come to find out, my wife said it was a type of rabbit. The black-tailed jackrabbit is about the size of a 1 year old baby, which is about 60 cm. They get about 3-6 pounds when they are fully grown. The tail is about 95mm.Their young are born fully furred, brown, with their eyes open. Black-tailed jackrabbits eat small trees, shrubs and forbs. They are preys of hawks, coyotes, and bobcats.Their young are called bunnies.
